NO MEANS YES: NYC Marathon, here I come

Comments

i love how the dog is rolling around trying to get some belly rubs!

I'm really really really proud of you. I'll be one to support you financially as well. If it weren't for my web friends, I would have never raised any cash for the race for the cure!

IN addition, when you get feeling yuccky at mile 20, you can think of the kids and that will really inspire you.

I'm excited for you!!!!!!!!!

This is a great post! What a great heritage you have and the ripple effect means your sons can't help but have that opportunity to learn to think of others also. What a handsome group of men in these photos!

You'll be running the NYC Marathon!!! Woo Hoo! I celebrate with you!!!

Ha! That's Winthorpe, and he wasn't looking for belly rubs, he was freaking out as usual when he rolls on his back in the grass...it's like dog catnip or something, he was in another world! lol
Holly, I appreciate you so much, thank you for saying that. It's really cool what you did with Race for the Cure. I hope "yucky" is the worst I feel at mile 20! I have a feeling it will be more like "crawling across a desert in search of water" or "dragging my body to the pay phone to call 911"!
Susan, those words mean a lot and I plan to have my dudes right there at the finish line. Which means I am going to do my best to get to that finish line! And hopefully inside of 4:30!
When I ran my first Half and passed the mile 12 marker and knew I was gonna finish, I started crying. I'm tearing up just reading how much all this means to you. I had to think of something funny quick so I would stop crying while I was running. It's not easy to cry and run at the same time. This time I'm letting it go. Pass me a hankie eh? Way to go! Your Dad is proud! (well and me too)
Woo hoo! NYC marthon, get ready for Mark! Whenever you get to a rough spot in the race, think of the silliest, goofiest things that your kids have done. I don't even have kids, but when I'm hurting I can smile just thinking of my dogs, so it's gotta work for kids too. Good luck and I look forward to hearing all about it.
